Stack My Plate
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 17 September 2026
Last Updated: 17 September 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Rovion Games ("we", "us", "our", or the "Company") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile game Stack My Plate (the "Game"). By downloading, installing, or using the Game, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Game and stop using it.
We have written this policy to describe what the Game actually does. The Game has no user accounts, no sign-in, no chat, and no servers of our own. Everything described below is either stored on your device or sent to the Google or Apple services named in Section 6.
1. Who We Are
Rovion Games is an independent game studio operating under the laws of India. You can contact us at support@roviongames.com for any privacy-related questions, requests, or complaints. Rovion Games is the data controller (under the GDPR) and the data fiduciary (under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) for the information described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
(a) Age information (self-declared, stored on your device only). When you first launch the Game, we ask how old you are. An answer is required so the Game can apply the right privacy settings. The number you enter is stored only on your device, is never sent to us or to anyone else, and is used solely to decide which privacy settings apply to you. From that number the Game derives an age band: Child (under 13), Teen (13 to 17), or Adult (18 and over). Only the age band (never the exact age) is included in the analytics information described below.
(b) Game progress and settings (stored on your device only). Your current level, coins, stars, best result per level, opened restaurant branches, story progress, daily-challenge progress, tutorial completion, sound, music and haptics settings, the date you first opened the Game, and how many times you have launched it. This information stays on your device. We cannot see it, and it is deleted when you uninstall the Game or clear its data.
(c) Device and technical information (sent to Google Firebase). Device model and manufacturer, operating system and version, device language and time zone, approximate country or region derived from your IP address (not precise location), screen size, app version, and network type. A pseudonymous app-instance identifier generated by Firebase Analytics that is unique to your installation of the Game and is not linked to your name, email, or any account.
(d) Gameplay and analytics events (sent to Google Firebase Analytics). When you play, the Game records events such as: app launch; tutorial started and completed; level started and level ended, together with the level number, game mode, attempt number, whether you won, stars and coins earned, how long the level took, how many ingredients were spilled, and the reason a level was failed; coins earned and spent within the Game; restaurant branches opened; daily-challenge rewards claimed; whether an optional rewarded ad was offered, started, or completed; whether an interstitial ad was shown; the outcome of the ad-consent flow; and the age band you selected. We also record a small number of user properties: age band, app version, days since first launch, platform, a bucketed count of levels completed, total stars, and whether ads are enabled for you. None of these events contains your name, contact details, or the content of anything you type.
(e) Advertising revenue events (sent to Google Firebase Analytics). When an ad is shown to you, Google AdMob reports the estimated value of that ad impression to the Game, and the Game records it as an analytics event together with the ad format (banner, interstitial, or rewarded), the ad unit, and the ad network that served it. We use this to understand how the Game earns revenue in aggregate. It is not used to make decisions about you individually.
(f) Advertising data (sent to Google AdMob). The Game shows banner ads, interstitial ads between levels, and optional rewarded ads to all age bands, with the treatment matched to the age you gave.
Adults (18 and over): Google AdMob and the ad networks it works with receive your device's resettable advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS, subject to the tracking permission you grant in iOS settings), IP address, device information, and your interactions with ads (views, clicks, and rewarded-ad completions). Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent through the in-game privacy form; with your consent ads may be personalized, and without it they are non-personalized.
Teens (13 to 17): ad requests are tagged as "under the age of consent". No consent form is shown, ads are non-personalized, ad content is limited to a PG rating, and your advertising identifier is not used for personalization.
Children (under 13): ad requests are tagged as "child-directed" under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families policy. Ads are non-personalized and limited to a G rating, no consent form is shown, and the advertising identifier is not used. Only Google AdMob, a Families self-certified ad network, serves ads to this band.
(g) Crash and diagnostic data (sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics). If the Game crashes or encounters an error, we collect the crash stack trace, the device state at the time (device model, OS version, memory, orientation, whether the app was in the foreground), a pseudonymous Crashlytics installation identifier, and a short log of recent in-game actions such as "level 12 started" or "rewarded ad shown" so we can reproduce the problem. We also attach a few context values to each report: current level, game mode, age band, whether ads are enabled, the analytics consent state, and the launch count. Crash reporting is always on because we need it to keep the Game working, but it never contains personal information.
(h) Purchase information (from Google Play or the Apple App Store). The Game offers optional in-app purchases: a one-time "Remove Ads" item and packs of in-game coins. Purchases are made through your app store account. We never see your card number, bank details, or billing address. The store sends the Game a purchase confirmation containing the product bought, a transaction identifier, and a purchase token or signed receipt, which the Game uses to deliver the item, to restore "Remove Ads" on reinstall, and to record a purchase event in analytics with the price and currency. The transaction identifier and coin grants are stored on your device; whether you own "Remove Ads" is stored on your device and verified with the store on each launch. Unity Technologies, whose In-App Purchasing library processes the store transaction inside the Game, receives transaction details under its own privacy policy.
(i) Motion sensor data (used on your device only). One in-game mechanic lets you shake your phone to scare off a mouse. To detect the shake, the Game reads the device accelerometer while that mechanic is active. Sensor readings are used instantly and are never stored or transmitted.
(j) Information you choose to provide. If you contact us by email, we receive whatever you send, including your name, email address, and message contents.
What we do not collect. Your real name, email address (unless you contact us), phone number, exact location, photos, contacts, microphone audio, camera images, payment information, or any content from your device beyond what is described above. The Game does not use the Unity engine's optional analytics, crash reporting, or performance reporting services. The Game does not collect the Android device ID (SSAID).
3. How We Use Your Information
To operate the Game, including running gameplay, saving your progress on your device, and applying the privacy settings that match your age band.
To understand and improve the Game, including which levels players struggle with, where players stop playing, how long sessions last, and how many players return after one, seven, and thirty days. These analyses are performed on aggregated, pseudonymous data.
To measure how the Game earns revenue in aggregate, so we can keep it free to play.
To deliver, restore, and support in-app purchases, and to detect fraudulent or duplicate purchases.
To show age-appropriate ads through Google AdMob, including personalized ads for adults who have consented.
To diagnose and fix crashes and bugs.
To comply with law, including responding to lawful requests from authorities.
To communicate with you, only if you contact us first.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Children's Privacy
The Game uses an in-app age screen. Based on your answer, the Game applies the following protections.
For users under 13 (Child): the Game never shows purchase prompts or offers; the shop opens only if the player taps it, and every purchase goes through the app store's own parental-approval controls. Ads are child-directed, non-personalized and G-rated as described in Section 2(f); the advertising identifier is not used; no consent form is shown; analytics run in a measurement-only mode with advertising and personalization signals disabled at the SDK level; crash reporting operates as described above. We collect only what is needed to run the Game, show age-appropriate ads, and understand how the Game is used in aggregate.
For users aged 13 to 17 (Teen): ads are non-personalized and limited to a PG rating, the advertising identifier is not used for personalization, no consent form is shown, and analytics run in measurement-only mode.
For users 18 and over (Adult): ads are enabled subject to the consent flow described in Section 5, and standard analytics apply.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described above, and we do not ask children for names, contact details, or photos. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, or you want your child's data deleted, contact us at support@roviongames.com and we will act promptly. Because the exact age is stored only on the device, you can also reset it at any time by clearing the Game's data or reinstalling.
5. Consent and Your Choices
Ad consent. If you are an adult in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another region where consent is legally required, the Game shows Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form before any ad is loaded. Your choice applies to advertising and, in those regions, also to analytics: if you decline, the Game does not enable advertising and does not send analytics events from your device. You can change your choice at any time from Pause, then Privacy, then Ad Privacy Choices. Users under 18 are never shown a consent form; their ads are always non-personalized.
Analytics consent. Analytics collection is turned off when the Game is installed and is only switched on once the age screen and, where applicable, the consent form have been completed. In regions where consent is not legally required for analytics, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the Game, and you can object as described in Section 9.
Device-level controls. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier and opt out of ad personalization in your device settings (Android: Settings, Google, Ads; iOS: Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking and Apple Advertising).
6. Sharing Your Information
We share information only with the following providers, each of which processes data on our behalf or as an independent controller under its own policy. We have no other partners.
Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics): for analytics and crash reporting. See firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Firebase Analytics data is also available to us in Google Analytics and may be exported to Google BigQuery for our own analysis; it stays within Google's infrastructure.
Google AdMob: for serving age-appropriate ads. For adults, AdMob may work with other ad networks and advertisers to fill ad requests; child-directed requests are served under Google's Families-compliant rules. See policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): for collecting and storing adults' ad-consent choices. See support.google.com/admob/answer/10113207.
Google Play and Apple App Store: for distributing the Game and processing in-app purchases (Google Play Billing and Apple In-App Purchase). Their handling of your download, installation and payment data is governed by their own policies.
Unity Technologies (Unity In-App Purchasing): the library that connects the Game to the store's billing system. See unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
We may also disclose information to law enforcement, courts, or regulators when required by law; to professional advisors under confidentiality obligations; in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of our business, in which case the successor must honour this policy; and in aggregated or de-identified form that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
We do not sell your personal information for money. For the purposes of California law, sharing advertising identifiers with Google AdMob for personalized advertising may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising". You can opt out as described in Section 5 and Section 9.
7. International Data Transfers
The providers listed above operate globally. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, the European Union, India, and other countries. Where required, transfers are protected by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, which Google incorporates into its data processing terms.
8. Data Retention
Analytics event data is retained by Firebase for up to 14 months from collection, after which it is deleted or aggregated; aggregated reports that cannot identify you may be kept longer.
Crash reports are retained by Crashlytics for 90 days.
Ad-consent records held by UMP are retained for up to 13 months, after which the Game asks you again.
Purchase records (transaction identifiers, coin grants, Remove Ads ownership) stay on your device until you uninstall the Game or clear its data; the stores keep their own purchase history under their policies.
Advertising data held by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's policies.
Information stored on your device (age, progress, settings, first-launch date) remains until you uninstall the Game or clear its data.
Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to respond and for our records, typically up to two years.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights: access to the personal information we hold about you; correction of inaccurate information; deletion; restriction of or objection to processing based on legitimate interests; data portability; withdrawal of consent at any time without affecting prior processing; and the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR and UK GDPR). Our legal bases are: consent, for personalized advertising and for analytics where consent is required; legitimate interest, for measurement-only analytics, crash reporting, fraud prevention, and product improvement; and legal obligation, for compliance with law. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest at any time. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office.
India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). You have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, the right to grievance redressal, and the right to nominate a person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity. Our Grievance Officer is Ronit Thakur, reachable at support@roviongames.com with the subject line "Grievance". If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India. For users under 18, we do not perform tracking or behavioural monitoring and do not show targeted advertising, in line with the Act; ads shown to minors are non-personalized and contextual only.
United States. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To opt out of targeted advertising, decline personalized ads in the in-game privacy settings or disable ad personalization in your device settings. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) as described in Section 4.
To exercise any right, email support@roviongames.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". Because we do not hold your name or account, please include the Analytics ID shown at the bottom of the Game's Privacy screen (Pause, then Privacy) or your device's advertising identifier so we can locate your data. We respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires, and may need to verify the request before acting. Requests concerning data held by Google may also be directed to Google under its own policies.
10. Security
All data sent from the Game to Firebase and AdMob is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We hold no copies of your data on servers of our own. Access to the Firebase and AdMob consoles is limited to Rovion Games personnel who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-Party Links
The Game may link to our website, our store listing, or Google's privacy pages. This policy does not apply to those sites.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy when our practices, the law, or the Game change. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. For material changes that expand what we collect, we will show an in-game notice and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again. If you continue using the Game after the changes take effect, you accept the updated policy.
